Postdoctoral Fellowship Position in the Field of Photo-Thermal Coherence Tomography and Thermo-Photonic Imaging
Postdoctoral research fellowship in the area of Photothermal Coherence Tomography (PCT) and clinical device R&D is available in the Hybrid Biomedical Optics Lab (York University, Canada). The fellowship focuses on fundamental research toward advancement of existing PCT technology, design and development of clinical instrumentation for PCT imaging of dental hard tissues, and conducting multi-center experimentation for performance comparison of PCT with gold standards and scattering-based imaging methodologies such optical coherence tomography. The fellowship can be extended up to 2 years.
Job Requirements: A PhD (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering, Physics or a related field is required. In addition to excellent communication and teamwork skills, demonstrated excellence in one or more of the following areas is required: photothermal sciences and radiometry, thermography, optical imaging systems, optical system fabrication, fiber optic systems and components, image processing and programming in LabView and/or Visual C++.
Interested candidates are urged to send an email to Prof. Tabatabaei (firstname.lastname@example.org). Please include your CV (listing minimum of 2 references).
PhDand MSc Student Positions in the Field of Photo-Thermal Optical Coherence Tomography and Thermo-Photonic Imaging
PhD and MSc student positions are immediately available in the Hybrid Biomedical Optics Lab (York University, Canada) in the field of optical coherence tomography and thermo-photonic imaging. HBO Lab’s vision is to overcome the diagnostic shortcomings of the conventional reflectance optical imaging methods by development and advancement of hybrid optical imaging platforms (www.HBOLab.ca). The laboratory is looking for highly motivated students with background in theoretical and experimental optics. Experience in one or more of the following areas is desired: OCT and optical imaging systems, thermography, infrared physics, optical design, lasers, fiber optics, digital signal processing, LabView or C++ programming, and circuit design. Positions are fully funded by a combination of grants and teaching activities. Students will be covered for their tuition fees and receive supplementary health/dental/vision coverage and competitive salaries. Interested students should send an email to Prof. Tabatabaei at email@example.com with “prospective student” in the subject line. Please include your CV (listing 3 references) and an unofficial copy of your transcript in the email.
